At 3:00pm on Monday afternoon, mount Allen the 23rd of February 2010 a dozen helicopters with monsoon buckets arrived to a blazing fire on mount Allen. Four families got moved from their homes because of the fire. The smoke headed straight for Dunedin. At the end of the day the smoke was sitting over Dunedin. The people with health issues had to double their medication because of the smoke in the air. By the end of the day the wind changed and it turned out to be a nice sunny day.
